On February 12, 2022, the representative of the Phanar, Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, invited Patriarch John of Antioch to a “meeting of the four Apostolic Patriarchs,” reports the official website of the Patriarchate of Antioch.

Metropolitan Emmanuel, who arrived as an envoy of Patriarch Bartholomew, brought an invitation to Patriarch John to "participate in the meeting of the four Apostolic Patriarchates, which is supposed to be held on the eve of Great and Passion Week".

The event, which will discuss issues "facing the Orthodox Church" should be held in Istanbul.

It is also reported that during a conversation at the Patriarchal residence in Balamand, the parties touched upon "historical relations that unite the Antiochian and Constantinople Churches".

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that it became known when and where the “council” of the Pentarchy will be held.
