Chernivtsi believers warn about preparation for cathedral seizure

On the morning of May 22, 2025, raiders are preparing a forceful takeover of the Holy Spirit Cathedral of the UOC in Chernivtsi. This was reported on social media by the believers of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.
«Brothers and sisters! There is information that tomorrow around 4:00-5:00 a forceful takeover of our cathedral is planned,» wrote the Orthodox Bukovynians.
They called on everyone who has the opportunity to come for an overnight stay in the church, or in the morning, after the curfew ends at 4:00, to stand in defense of the shrine.
As reported by the UOJ, in Chernivtsi, a round-the-clock prayer standing of the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church at the Holy Spirit Cathedral continues.
