On Monday, February 14, Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East, met with representatives of the Church of Alexandria in his residence at the Balamand Monastery, the official website of the Patriarchate reports.

The delegation of Patriarch Theodoros II consisted of Metropolitan Gregory of Cameroon and Metropolitan John of Zambia. The hierarchs briefed the patriarch on the developments that had taken place since the establishment of the African Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. The attendees also discussed the possibility of the participation of the Primate of the Church of Antioch in the meeting of the patriarchs of the four apostolic Churches, which is organized by the head of Phanar before the Holy Week. The main topic of the pentarchy's meeting will be the actions of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa.

Patriarch John said that a decision on his participation in the council of the four Primates would be made at a meeting of the Synod of the Antiochian Church.

As the UOJ reported earlier, Phanar invited the Primate of the Antiochian Church to a meeting of four patriarchs.
