Robert Amsterdam accuses Ukrainian govt of backing mobs that seize churches

Against teh backdrop of events in Chernivtsi, international lawyer of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Robert Amsterdam stated that "The organised theft of churches by the Ukrainian government is religious cleansing". He wrote this on June 21, 2025, on the social network X.

He addressed the international community with the question: "Where is the outrage?"

"How can our governments remain silent while state-backed mobs strip Christians of their freedom?" his message reads.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier Robert Amsterdam emphasized that the whole world should know about Zelensky's disgrace in Chernivtsi.
