Kherson Eparchy of UOC helps hospitals, needy and refugees with medicines
The Kherson Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has handed over medicines to medical institutions, large families, low-income families and refugees who suffered from military operations, reports the UOC eparchy on its website.
With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Kherson and Tauris, the medicine was collected at the eparchy’s office, where it was brought by concerned residents of Kherson. The doctors of the Kherson regional clinical hospital helped the UOC worshippers in sorting the medicines.
The parishioners of the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Kherson delivered some of the medicines to the surgical department of the regional hospital and to the Center of Maternity and Childhood Protection "Zhizn" in Kherson.
The rest of the medicine was delivered to single mothers and mothers with many children, a family-type children's home, refugees from Antonivka and Kindiyka, as well as some Kherson churches and residents of the UOC eparchy who applied for help.
As reported, humanitarian aid from the Romanian Church arrived in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr eparchies.
