OCU "priest" who fought as a sniper killed at the front
On August 6, 2025, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a "priest" of the OCU, Yuriy Volyk, died, reports the press service of the religious structure.
“Being a priest, he not only preached the faith but also took up arms to defend Ukraine,” the OCU press service emphasized, noting that Volyk was a soldier in an airmobile battalion and a rifleman-sniper.
According to the OCU press service, the feat of sniper Yuriy Volyk is “an example of the highest love of which Christ spoke.”
It should be recalled that a ROC priest who voluntarily went to the front with a weapon in his hands was killed in Ukraine.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the ROC congratulated snipers on their professional holiday and wished them “a firm hand”.
