Festive service held at St. Anna’s Convent in Bukovyna

On August 14, 2025, the Feast of the Procession of the Honorable Wood of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord and the commemoration of the Holy Martyrs Maccabees, Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets led the celebrations of the patronal feast of St. Anna’s Convent of the UOC in Vashkivtsi, Chernivtsi region. The Konotop Eparchy reported the event.

Serving the Divine Liturgy with the hierarch were Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny, Metropolitan Roman of Konotop and Hlukhiv, Metropolitan Euseviy of Shepetivka and Slavuta, Archbishop Veniamin of Khotyn, Bishop Seraphim of Novovorontsovka, Bishop Iov of Kitsman, clergy of the eparchy, and visiting clergy.

Also praying during the service were the abbess of the convent, Igumeness Augusta, with the sisters, abbesses with sisters from other monasteries of the eparchy, and numerous faithful.

Prayers were offered during the Liturgy for peace in the Ukrainian land.

At the conclusion of the service, Metropolitan Sergiy blessed honey and herbs. The faithful were sprinkled with holy water.

As the UOJ previously reported, His Beatitude in the Lavra celebrated the Liturgy of the Feast of the Procession of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord.
