In Kyiv region transfers of churches to OCU authorized by officials
On 20 April 2022, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Pavliuk, issued an order to transfer three communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the OCU. The official wrote about this on his Telegram channel and added that orders for three more "transfers" were being prepared for Easter.
"For years, the issue of the transition of religious organizations into the bosom of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine has been artificially slowed down. I put a stop to this. We must restore our faith and the Ukrainian Church," Pavliuk said.
The official also discussed the organization of the Easter holidays with the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, and said that "in cooperation, we have come together to a common decision on how best to organize the holidays in war conditions".
As reported, armed radicals led by Drabinko seized a church in Kruglyk, Kyiv region.
