A viral video shows an operator filming a luxurious chaplain's car. The author expresses surprise at the high cost of the vehicle (about $100,000 for a new Toyota) and ironically asks to be taken as a chaplain.
"Look what chaplains in Ukraine drive! Is this normal for a chaplain? How much does it cost? Where did you earn it? A new Toyota costs about a hundred thousand dollars! I want to be a chaplain! I want a car for $100,000! Take me as a chaplain!" the operator says.
Opinions in the comments are divided. Some suggest that the car owner might have been in business before the war and honestly earned such a car. Others believe that some chaplains might have misused public donations.
The car bears the logo of the organization "Christian Rescue Service". The organization's website states that it is an interfaith association that includes "more than 1200 ministers: Roman Catholics, Greek Catholics, Orthodox, Baptists, Pentecostals, Messianic Jews, Charismatics, Reformed, Lutherans, and Seventh-day Adventists".
The author does not specify where exactly the video was filmed.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to media reports, many chaplains of the OCU, UGCC, and UOC KP actually combine military service with work in their parishes, receiving high military salaries.
