During the night of October 30, 2025, as a result of shelling in the Chernihiv region, the Chapel of the Holy Great Martyr Paraskeva in the village of Lypiv Rih (Nizhyn Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church) was damaged, reports the eparchial press service.

According to the eparchy, the chapel sustained damage from the fall and explosion of an enemy drone. The blast wave blew out all the windows of the building.

A crater formed in the churchyard, surrounded by fragments of the drone. Thankfully, no local residents were injured.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Pokrov Church in Hryshyne caught fire following shelling.
