Kamyanske community honors memory of Zaporizhzhia Sich ataman Kalnyshevskyi

The Kamyanske Eparchy celebrated the feast day of the righteous and holy Petro Kalnyshevskyi. On 13 November 2025, at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in the city of Kamyanske, the Divine Liturgy was presided over by Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kamyanske and Tsarychanka, the eparchy’s press service reported.

The metropolitan was concelebrated by the clergy of the Kamyanske Eparchy. Before the service, the clergy and faithful offered an akathist to St. Nicholas. During the Liturgy, special prayers were raised for peace in Ukraine, for the authorities and the armed forces, and for the Church.

At the end of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Volodymyr congratulated all those present on the feast and thanked the clergy and the choir of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary for their prayerful participation.

After the service, a festive meal was organized for all parishioners.

As the UOJ reported earlier, in Kytaihorod three communities of the Kamyanske Eparchy reaffirmed their loyalty to the UOC.
