Zelensky to consider legalization of same-sex marriages in Ukraine
The petition on the legalization of same-sex marriages in Ukraine has collected 25,000. votes on the website of the President of Ukraine.
Now the head of state Vladimir Zelensky is obliged to consider it.
"At this time, every day can be the last. Let people of the same sex get the opportunity to create a family and have a confirming official document. They need the same rights as traditional couples," wrote the author of the petition Anastasia Sovnenko.
The petition was registered on the site on June 3, 2022, and received the required number of votes in a little more than a month.
As previously reported by UOJ, in Japan, the court found the ban on same-sex marriages to be in line with the Constitution.
