Head of Phanar Archdiocese in U.S. baptizes children of a gay couple

On July 9, 2022, the hierarch of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, Archbishop Elpidophoros, baptized the children of the homosexual couple – Evanggelos Bousis and clothing designer Peter Dundas, both known in the fashion world,” according to the Greek Reporter.
The couple’s children, Alexios and Eleni, were baptized by his Eminence at the Panagia Faneromeni church in the southern Athenian suburb of Vouliagmeni.
This is an unprecedented event in the history of the Orthodox Church, according to the mass media. "Yesterday was truly a special moment not only for my family and me but for our entire Greek Orthodox Church <...> Thank you to our great spiritual leader, his Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, for christening the babies and not turning away any child or member of our faith," the Greek edition quotes George Bousis, brother of Evangelos Bousys, as saying on Facebook.
A fragment of the baptism was posted by the Greek YouTube channel Church Online. Comments under the video are mostly negative. "What's going on, we're completely out of our minds... What, is this normal????" commented the subscriber Ελληνιας Ορθοδοξος.
"In the end times, the shepherds will become worse than the flock," wrote Χρυσανθη Κοκκινακη.
"I can't believe that we have come to this, I'm sorry, Lord, forgive us!" Bessy Bessy subscriber was the first to comment on the video.
As the UOJ reported, opponents of LGBT and European integration held a mass action in Georgia.
