On December 14, 2025, spiritual meetings of Orthodox youth took place in the Mukachevo and Rivne eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, bringing together participants from different parishes, as reported by the press services of the Mukachevo and Rivne eparchies.
At the St. John the Theologian Monastery in the village of Siltse in Transcarpathia, an evening of spiritual conversations for youth was held for the second time. The event was organized with the blessing of Metropolitan Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod, on the initiative of the rector of the Mukachevo Theological School, Archimandrite Luke (Tomishynets), and gathered more than a hundred young people from different parishes.
During the meeting, topics relevant to youth were discussed, including maintaining faith in the face of modern challenges, the significance of prayer in daily life, questions of relationships, choosing a life vocation, overcoming difficulties, as well as seeking the meaning of life and trust in God. Participants actively asked questions, shared personal experiences, and received spiritual guidance and support.
On the same day, a joint meeting of Orthodox youth of the Rivne eparchy of the UOC took place at the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Rivne. More than 60 young people from five youth communities of different parishes participated in the event.
The central theme of the discussion was "The Invisible World of Incorporeal Forces." The youth, together with the clergy, turned to the Church's teaching on the angelic world, its role in human life, and the spiritual struggle of a Christian. The meeting concluded with a joint akathist singing to Jesus the Sweetest. The Rivne eparchy noted that such events contribute to strengthening the unity of Orthodox youth and more active participation of young people in church life.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Sumy celebrated the miraculous "Bread of Life" icon and the 80th anniversary of the eparchy.
