The Orthodox community of the Intercession Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Freiburg (Germany) organized a charity concert on December 13, 2025, and raised funds to help the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna diocese on their Facebook page.

According to the rector, Priest Volodymyr Popivchuk, the concert became a way to unite believers in prayer and support for the warriors. The Yaremchuk brothers participated in the performances, raising 1150 euros, which were directed to one of the units of the Ukrainian army.

The rector thanked the parishioners for their response and noted that "on the day of the memory of the Apostle Andrew, our common sacrifice became a sign of love and support for those who guard life and peace."

The Intercession parish of the UOC in the city of Freiburg also announced the start of the charity campaign "Become Saint Nicholas for Orphans," which has been conducted for the fifth year together with volunteers.

As reported by the UOJ, the authorities of Cologne awarded the UOC parish for its contribution to the public life of the city.
