Zelenskyy tells Phanar head about destruction of Ukrainian temples
On 28 July 2022, the Day of the Baptism of Rus’ and the commemoration of St. Prince Vladimir, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by telephone with the head of the Phanar, reports Zelenskyy on his Twitter account.
According to the President, he expressed gratitude to Patriarch Bartholomew "for his prayers for Ukraine, wishes for victory and peace". "Сonveyed the truth about the aggressor's terrible crimes, in particular about the destruction of almost two hundred churches," Zelenskyy added.
We remind you that by Zelenskyy's decree, a state holiday, the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, is approved on the Day of the Baptism of Rus’.
As reported, Zelenskyy will consider legalizing same-sex marriage in Ukraine.
