On December 25, 2025, the Kamianske Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrates the 15th anniversary of its foundation. On this day, thanksgiving prayers are offered in the diocese, and words of congratulations are addressed to the clergy and the faithful, as reported on the official page of the Kamianske Eparchy of the UOC on Facebook.
The Kamianske Eparchy was established by the decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC fifteen years ago in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The decision was made under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan) of Kyiv and All Ukraine. Bishop Volodymyr (Orachov) of Rovenky, vicar of the Luhansk Eparchy, was appointed the first head of the new eparchy.
Since its founding, Kamianske has become the cathedral center of the eparchy. Over the years, church life has actively developed here, parish communities have strengthened, the number of clergy and believers has increased, and many residents of the region have come to the Orthodox faith.
The eparchy notes that over the years of its existence, it has borne abundant spiritual fruits, which continue to multiply. Believers thank God for His care and for the opportunity to preserve and develop Orthodox life in the Dnipro region.
On the anniversary day, prayers are offered in the Kamianske Eparchy for the health and strengthening of the ruling archbishop - Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kamianske and Tsarychanka, the clergy, monastics, and all faithful children of the Church, who remain under the gracious protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that His Beatitude congratulated Bishop Arseniy on the 20th anniversary of his episcopal consecration.
