OCU cleric: 90% of clergy categorically do not want unification with UOC
On July 25, 2022, Volodymyr Makohon, the "dean" of the Kremenchuk district of the OCU, said that 90% of the "clergy" of the Dumenko structure were against unification with the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The OCU cleric said this at a meeting of the Peschanka UTC, where the head of the land commission, Oleksandr Kolotiyevsky, proposed to ban the activities of the UOC in the territory of the Peschanka district. This is evidenced by a video published on YouTube.
"More than that, I will tell you that 90% of our clergy does not want you to unite with us, categorically not," said Makohon, although he supported the official's idea of the transfer of UOC priests to the Epifaniy structure.
As reported, the lawyer spoke about the criminal responsibility for organizing transfers to the OCU.
