The persecuted community of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Dubove of the Storozhynets Deanery of the Chernivtsi Eparchy held a New Year's night Divine Liturgy, reports a UOJ correspondent.
The rector of the church, Priest Oleksandr Chuvyk, noted that Orthodox Christians are called to begin every endeavor with prayer, therefore, on the first day of the new year, a service was held at the parish.
As earlier reported, supporters of the OCU seized the church in Dubove on January 18, 2025. The vote to transfer the church took place without the participation of the parishioners. Arranging a new space for services was assisted by an AFU soldier serving on the front line and believers from abroad.
In the video, parishioners shared how they spent New Year's Eve in the church.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in Ivachkiv, the persecuted community opened a Sunday school.
