Ukraine’s employers to be fined for religious restrictions on candidates
On 6 August 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for payment of fines for the violation of requirements for employment advertisements, reports the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
It is forbidden in job advertisements to mention restrictions based on a number of grounds: religious beliefs, age, gender, race, colour of skin, political views and other attributes not related to the nature of the work. Violators will be fined UAH 65.000, i.e. 10 minimum wages.
The State Service of Ukraine for Labour Affairs will monitor compliance and impose fines.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada has proposed to introduce penalties for foul language.
