On January 11, 2026, a charitable Christmas concert was held at the St. John the Theologian parish of the UOC in the village of Demydivka, as a result of which funds were raised to help children with serious illnesses, reports the press service of the Rivne Eparchy.
The event was held in the format of a Christmas concert and brought together children from Sunday schools of parishes in Demydivka and Moshkiv of the Mlyniv Deanery, as well as parishioners from the village of Torhovytsia, who came to support the charitable initiative.
During the concert, Christmas carols and greetings were performed. After the performances, all participants received sweet gifts provided by benefactors.
As a result of the campaign, 85 thousand hryvnias were raised. It is noted that benefactors from the United States also joined the fundraising.
The collected donations were distributed directly: eight children from the Mlyniv Deanery received 10 thousand hryvnias each, and another 5 thousand hryvnias were sent to Matviy Koliadiuk from Volyn, who is fighting muscular atrophy.
The concert organizer, Archpriest Vasyl Ivanenko, thanked all participants and donors, expressing hope that the Christmas days would bring peace, healing and God's mercy to those in need.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the UOC Social Department handed over Christmas gifts to IDPs and disabled children.
