In Kyiv, warming stations have been set up at UOC's churches. According to the UOC press service, the decision was taken with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy in response to a sharp cold snap, difficult weather conditions, and disruptions to the electricity supply in the capital.

The warming stations are operating at a number of parishes in all districts of Kyiv, including the Pokrovsky (Intercession) Convent, as well as churches in Podil, Obolon, Darnytsia, Holosiiv, Sviatoshyn, and Pechersk.

In specially equipped rooms, anyone can come in to warm up, drink hot tea, and charge mobile phones and other gadgets.

The Kyiv eparchy is urging everyone who has found themselves in a difficult situation because of the cold or the lack of electricity to seek help at the nearest UOC churches.

The warming stations are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
