On January 25, 2026, His Beatitude Onuphry celebrated the Liturgy at the Trinity Cathedral of the Ascension Bancheny Monastery in Bukovyna, reports a UOJ correspondent.

Thousands of parishioners gathered at the cathedral to pray with their Primate. Metropolitan Onuphry was concelebrated by Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny, Metropolitan Eusebius of Shepetivka, Archbishop Lavr of Irpin, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka, Archbishop Siluan of Hertsa, Bishop Cleopa of Novoselytsia, Bishop Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk.

The Liturgy was conducted simultaneously in Church Slavonic and Romanian languages.

At the end of the Liturgy, the Primate addressed the parishioners in Ukrainian and Romanian, congratulating the faithful on the past great feasts of the Nativity and Baptism of Christ.

"The Lord has shown great boundless love to us, to the human race. The Lord so loved man that He became man in order to raise man to heaven. May the Lord, through the prayers of our Most Holy Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, bless you and your loved ones, grant all that is necessary for earthly life and salvation in eternal life," said His Beatitude Onuphry.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that His Beatitude celebrated the Liturgy in Feophania on the Feast of St. Bonifatius.
