Ex-MP Bryhynets urges to transfer the "liberated" Sviatogorsk Lavra to OCU

Former MP of Ukraine Oleksandr Bryhynets, who is convinced that the Sviatogorsk Lavra was occupied by Russian invaders, offered to transfer the monastery to the OCU following the news of the liberation of Sviatogorsk. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated the third Ukrainian Lavra. The transfer of the Lavra to the OCU can be started directly from Sviatogorsk. Amen! Glory to the Armed Forces!” Bryhynets wrote and received a number of comments from readers on his appeals.

“The city of Sviatogorsk was occupied, then liberated, but the Lavra, located on the other side of the Seversky Donets, remained all the time on Ukrainian-controlled territory,” historian and theologian Serhiy Shumylo wrote in the comments to the post.

Recall that a photo of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the skete of the Sviatogorsk Lavra was published on the Web.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a draft law on the transfer of the Kyiv-Pechersk and Pochaiv Lavra to the OCU was submitted to the Rada.
