Zelenskyy thanks Patriarch Bartholomew for condemning the war

On 2 October 2022, in his address to the country, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about an important event which took place in Turkey, where Olena Zelenska met with the head of the Phanar. The address is posted on president.gov.ua.

"The First Lady of Ukraine and our delegation met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Patriarch Bartholomew's views on the war unleashed by Russia and his position on supporting our state are well known. And today once again it has been voiced – very powerfully. I thank you for this, I thank you for understanding the needs of our people," stressed Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As reported, Olena Zelenska met with Patriarch Bartholomew in Phanar.
