Metropolitan Arseniy: Help to Lavra testifies to unity of entire UOC

With the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail, the clergy of the Odesa Eparchy delivered the humanitarian cargo to the Sviatogorsk Lavra. The video report is published on the YouTube channel of the Odessa Eparchy.

The clergy of the Odesa Eparchy went on a humanitarian mission after the Divine Liturgy on the feast day of St. Kuksha of Odesa.

According to Archdeacon Andrei Palchuk, despite the fact that the Lavra has been badly damaged by the war, there is a feeling of peace and grace.

The abbot of the Sviatogorsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy, thanked Bishop Agafangel for the delivered humanitarian aid. The former noted that it is not so much the food and basic necessities that are important but the attention and care from the Church.

"It is important that behind this help is the unity of our Church, Christian love. I have always had great respect for Metropolitan Agafangel, and today, as Metropolitan, I dare not call him a fellow. This is a Bishop with a capital letter, a father to younger bishops, an example of his conduct, an example of his attitude to the flock," said Metropolitan Arseniy, giving a low bow to the ruling bishop of the Odesa Eparchy from the entire Sviatogorsk Lavra community.

As reported, with the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel, the Odesa Eparchy clergymen brought humanitarian aid to the Sviatogorsk Lavra.
