UOC hierarchs and Romanian clergy consecrate frescoes of Bykovyna monastery

On February 5, 2026, Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets headed the consecration of wall paintings in the Lower Church of Saint Paulinus the Merciful in the UOC Convent "Slatina" in the village of Krasnoilsk, Chernivtsi region. This was reported by believers of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy on Facebook.
His Grace was concelebrated by Bishop Sergiy of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia, abbots of monasteries and clergy of the eparchy, as well as the Romanian clergy.
Abbesses and nuns from Romanian monasteries participated in the divine service, having come to share the joy of the feast with the abbess of the monastery, Mother Superior Joanna (Grozavu). The miraculous Krasnoilsk icon of the Mother of God, especially venerated in these lands, was brought to the service.
During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Sergiy ordained Deacon Valerii Fedotov to the priesthood for service at the Anninsky Monastery in the village of Vashkivtsi. At the conclusion of the service, the clergy and faithful glorified Saint Paulinus the Merciful and congratulated the builder of the monastery, Archpriest Paulinus Pavlenko, on the feast day of his heavenly patron.
As the UOJ reported, the new UOC Church of St. Basil the Great was consecrated in Krasnoilsk, Bukovyna.
