On February 10, 2026, a meeting of the Synodal Commission of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on canonization was held at the Presentation (Vvedensky) Monastery in Kyiv, reports the press service of the Kherson Eparchy.

The meeting was chaired by Metropolitan Ioann of Kherson and Taurida. The Synodal Commission memebers, who are studying the materials on candidates for canonization, took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, documents and testimonies relating to the lives, spiritual deeds, and ecclesiastical veneration of righteous ascetics whose canonization process is ongoing were reviewed.

The UOC notes that such meetings are part of the established church procedure and are aimed at comprehensive and thorough study of materials before possibly bringing the matter to the consideration by the Holy Synod.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that authorities seized icons and a reliquary from the nuns of Krupitsky Monastery.
