AUCCRO calls on world religious leaders to condemn RF’s state terror
On October 10, 2022, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations issued a statement condemning the shelling of Ukrainian cities by Russian troops and urged religious leaders to assist in stopping the terrorist state. The statement was published on irs.in.ua.
"The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations categorically condemns the terrorist shelling of Ukrainian cities carried out by Russian troops to intimidate our people. All those who take part in these brutal attacks on peaceful cities, both the leaders who give the orders and the direct perpetrators, as well as all those who justify acts of inhuman cruelty, should know that they will be held accountable before the Almighty and punished for their crimes.
We sympathise with those affected by the attacks, we pray for the victims, and we ask God's blessing for our defenders.
We appeal to the international community, to the religious leaders of the world to condemn the acts of state terror committed by Russia. The terrorist state must be stopped as soon as possible!" the AUCCRO’s statement says.
As reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a video appeal to Ukrainians in connection with the rocket attacks of 10 October 2022.
