On February 17, 2026, Republican Congressman Randy Fine said that Islam poses a threat to the United States. In comments to Fox News, Fine emphasized that Muslim activists are "calling for dogs to be killed," that the Islamic "call to prayer is being blasted in New York City," and that "giant mosques are popping up all over Texas and Florida."
“We have to do something about this threat, and that’s why I’m proud to be on the Sharia-Free America Caucus,” Fine stressed.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that New York City’s new mayor took the oath of office on the Quran.
