In the Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands in Korsun-Shevchenkovsky, seized by supporters of the OCU, a clothing warehouse has been set up, reports kozakTv1.
According to parishioners who continue to pray at the walls of their shrine, the lower church is now used for storing items: bags and boxes with clothing are stacked right in front of the iconostasis.
After the seizure, which occurred more than 20 months ago, not a single divine service has been held in the premises. Orthodox believers note that icons and the altar are covered with items, and the premises have lost their liturgical purpose.
Journalists report that Orthodox Christians continue to pray at the walls of the seized shrine and fight for the return of God's house.
As the UOJ reported, an OCU activist staged a provocation during a UOC divine service in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. The conflict around the church has been ongoing since 2022, when OCU supporters backed by local activists occupied the church. Despite the pressure, the UOC community regularly gathers for prayer at the walls of the shrine.
