On February 21, 2026, educational meetings for young people took place in the deaneries of the Rivne Eparchy, timed to the preparation for Great Lent. This was reported by the eparchy’s press service.

In the Ostroh Deanery, a youth gathering was held at the Holy Trinity Mezhyrich Monastery. Participants attended a service, took part in spiritual discussions, and jointly addressed issues relevant to young people – preserving faith in everyday life and resisting the superficial values of the modern world. The meeting concluded with a common meal prepared by the monastery brotherhood.

In the First Korets Deanery, the event was held in the assembly hall of the choir directors’ school at the Holy Trinity Korets Monastery. About 40 young men and women began with a common prayer and then discussed the preparatory weeks of Great Lent. The program included a Bible quiz and a thematic contest, and the gathering ended with a closing prayer.

In the Mlyniv Deanery, young people gathered at the Sunday school of the St. John the Theologian Church in the settlement of Demydivka. The dean, Archpriest Vasyl Ivaneiko, addressed those present and spoke about the significance of the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord. A special guest was Archpriest Oleksandr Klymenko, winner of the “Voice of the Country” show, who spoke with participants and performed several songs with a guitar. The eparchy noted that such meetings contribute to spiritual strengthening and unity among Orthodox youth.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a “Bible Experts” olympiad was held at the St. George courtyard in Rivne.
