SBU searches Met. Joasaph of Kirovohrad and Novomirhorod’s residence

On October 26, 2022, SBU officers searched the residence of Metropolitan Joasaph (Guben) of Kirovohrad and Novomirhorod, reports gre4ka.info.

No information is available about the criminal proceedings in which the investigation was carried out. There is also no information about the search on the official Facebook page of the Kirovohrad region SBU.

The press service of the Kirovohrad Eparchy, when asked to comment on the event, referred to the secrecy of the investigation. “This is a secret investigation, so it is impossible to comment on these events,” said the press secretary of the eparchy, Archdeacon John.

In October 2022, the SBU conducted a search at the residence of Metropolitan Jonathan of Tulchyn, threatening him with a term of five years.
