On February 24, 2026, Bishop Antony of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi led the reading of the Great Canon of Repentance by Saint Andrew of Crete under the open sky at the walls of the seized Cathedral of the Savior Not Made With Hands (UOC)  in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, as reported by the press service of the Cherkasy Eparchy of the UOC.

Dozens of Orthodox believers, deprived of their church almost two years ago, came to prayer. Together with the hierarch prayed the rector of the community, Dean of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi District, Archpriest Ioann Nalapko, who built the shrine and devoted more than forty years of pastoral service to the city.

Divine services near the church, believers note, are performed regardless of weather conditions. While supporters of the OCU have turned the seized house of God into a warehouse, icons are covered with things, and clothes are now laid out right in front of the iconostasis.

"Despite this, the expelled parishioners continue to pray at the walls of their shrine, testifying to their faithfulness to the Church and steadfastness in trials," the message states.

As the UOJ reported, in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, OCU supporters turned the seized church into a warehouse.
