OCU rep campaigns to celebrate Х-mas on December 25 "with the whole world"
On October 27, in the village of Toporivtsi, Chernivtsi region, during the "service", the OCU "priest" urged the community to agitate their "relatives, acquaintances and neighbours" to celebrate Christmas on December 25 "together with the whole world”. A video of the "sermon" was published on the Facebook page by the head of the All-Ukrainian organization "Women's Power of Ukraine" and lawyer Victoriya Kokhanovska.
"On 24 (December – Ed.) it's Holy Night; and on December 25, it's already Christmas. As it should be, so it is. I request you <...> to bring this information to your parents, relatives, neighbours, friends, cousins and acquaintances <...> and say that on the 25th will be a Christmas mass, all are invited to the church," the "priest" urged his flock. He said a parishioner posted a message about a Christmas service on December 25 in a Facebook group, "and a hundred people, even more, responded".
"If we have a hundred people in our church, and other churches will also have a hundred or more, then they will have no choice but change the calendar and keep up with the rest of the world," explained Dumenko's follower.
As reported, the OCU is ready to "work" on switching to the new calendar.
