On March 19, 2026, celebrations in honor of the Brailiv-Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God were held at the Holy Trinity Brailiv Convent, the press service of the Vinnytsia Eparchy reported on its Facebook page. The festal Divine Liturgy in the monastery’s main church was led by Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, chairman of the UOC Information and Education Department.

He was concelebrated by Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar, local clergy, and visiting priests and deacons.

Praying in the church were the abbess of the monastery, Mother Antoniya (Stetsenko), the sisters, parishioners, and many pilgrims who had come to venerate the shrine. During the service, the faithful offered special prayers for peace and for God’s blessing upon all the people. The hierarchs also served a memorial prayer for the repose of the newly departed Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of All Georgia.

After the Liturgy, clergy and laity took part in a solemn procession around the monastery grounds with the wonderworking icon of the Mother of God. At the end of the service, the hierarchs congratulated Abbess Antoniya on the 30th anniversary of her elevation to the rank of abbess. Metropolitan Varsonofiy thanked Mother Antoniya for her many years of labor for the good of the canonical Church and presented her with a certificate of honor.

The Brailiv Monastery is one of the largest spiritual centers of Podillia. In 2025, it solemnly marked the 35th anniversary of the revival of prayerful life within the walls of the ancient monastery.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that St. Michael’s Church of the UOC in Vinnytsia had been robbed.
