Vatican Nuncio and Chief Rabbi discuss spiritual support in Kyiv synagogue

On March 15, 2026, Vatican Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine Visvaldas Kulbokas visited the Brodsky Synagogue in Kyiv, where he met with Chief Rabbi Moshe Reuven Azman.
As the rabbi wrote on his Facebook, the parties discussed the importance of interfaith dialogue, as well as spiritual support for people during wartime.
No details were specified in the message.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Zelensky awarded the chief rabbi "for defense of the country".
