On March 27, 2026, the persecuted community in the village of Dubivtsi in the Chernivtsi region held the Service of Praise to the Most Holy Theotokos, according to believers of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy on Facebook.
“The clergy and faithful glorified the Mother of God and asked for Her prayerful protection and strength in the midst of their trials,” the statement said.
As previously reported, on April 1, 2025, the church was seized by OCU supporters accompanied by members of “Bandera’s Trident.” However, in just three and a half months, the parishioners managed to build a new church, where they celebrated the parish feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos on August 28.
