On April 3, 2026, the “holy synod” of the OCU met at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra under the chairmanship of Epifaniy Dumenko. Before the session, its participants went to the grave of Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan) and held a “litiya” there. Among those present was Oleksandr Drabynko, a former hierarch of the UOC, who reported the event on his Facebook page.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Dumenko had claimed the late primate of the UOC supported the creation of the OCU.
