On April 4, 2026, staff of the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs carried out another round of aid distribution in Kyiv, delivering humanitarian packages to 100 displaced families, according to the department’s official Telegram channel.

The aid distribution is being carried out as part of the Mission of Mercy, one of whose key areas of work is regular support for those in need. Humanitarian packages are distributed on a weekly basis.

The recipients are displaced families facing difficult living circumstances. They are provided with food and essential household supplies.

Since the beginning of 2026, the social department has already assisted around 1,000 families. The packages include cereals, pasta, canned meat and fish, oil, sugar, tea, as well as hygiene items and household cleaning products.

Staff members also note strong demand for basic necessities for the elderly and the sick, as well as essential medicines, which are likewise distributed to those in need.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Primate of the UOC had blessed vehicles for evacuating the wounded from the front.
