Primate of UOC officiates Divine Liturgy at Kyiv Annunciation Church

On April 7, 2026, Great Tuesday and the feast of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine led the Divine Liturgy at the Annunciation Church in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv, according to the UOC Information and Education Department.

Concelebrating with the Primate were Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl, Metropolitan Ioasaf of Vasylkiv, Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorod, Archbishop Spiridon of Vyshneve, Archbishop Lavr of Irpin, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka, as well as the clergy of the cathedral and visiting clergy in holy orders.

After the reading of the Holy Gospel, the hierarch addressed the faithful with a sermon. During the augmented litany, prayers were offered in the church for peace on Ukrainian soil, for deliverance from the enemy, for wisdom for the authorities, and for the strengthening of the soldiers in courage. His Beatitude also offered a special prayer for those who have lost their homes and are in despair, asking God’s mercy for all the people.

During the service, the Primate performed a diaconal ordination. At the conclusion of the liturgy, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy congratulated the faithful on the feast and blessed his flock.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that His Beatitude celebrated the services of the week dedicated to St. Mary of Egypt at the Lavra.
