On April 5, 2026, a charity fair was held at the Trinity Cathedral of Sumy to support children with cancer in the region, reports the parish press service.

The event was organized by Sunday school students, youth club participants, representatives of the "Merciful Samaritan" ministry, the eparchy's missionary department, as well as parishioners of the church.

The fair took place after the Divine Liturgy in the cathedral narthex. Organizers prepared baked goods, sweets, and hot beverages for visitors, while believers actively supported the initiative by joining the fundraising effort.

As a result of the event, 32,010 hryvnias were collected. All funds raised will be directed toward helping children with cancer.

The organizers thanked all participants and noted that such initiatives are an important manifestation of mercy and support for those in need.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a charity concert for children with cancer was held in the Sumy Eparchy.
