On April 15, 2026, in Kyiv, staff of the Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church congratulated the girls of the Darnytsia children’s boarding home on Easter, according to the UOC Social Department’s Telegram channel.
Eighty residents of the institution received Easter treats, sweets, fresh fruit, and juices – so that each girl could feel care and attention.
A festive atmosphere was created with the help of an entertainment program featuring animators, which brought particular joy to the children.
According to Anna, a staff member of the department, the event took place in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere: the children were delighted, embraced the guests, and expressed their gratitude for the celebration. She noted that the department is grateful to the institution’s administration, educators, and benefactors for the opportunity to bring Easter joy to the girls and share in the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection, emphasizing that such initiatives help bring kindness and support to those in need.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC Social Department had distributed 1,500 Easter cakes to displaced persons.
