The Volyn Territorial Recruitment Center stated that the detained UOC cleric in Osmyhovychi, Archpriest Bohdan Katsevych, was subject to conscription and, after completing the required procedures, was sent to a military unit, VSN reported.
According to press officer Uliana Kravchuk, he was stopped by a notification group for a document check, and according to the Oberih system, he was listed as subject to conscription. The TRC also claims that a military medical commission found him fit for service.
The TRC also denied reports that the cleric had suffered a heart attack. Kravchuk said that the emergency medical team had allegedly been called not to the place where Archpriest Bohdan Katsevych was located, but to another settlement.
At present, according to her statement, the cleric has been sent to one of the military units for further service.
As the UOJ reported, the rector of the UOC church in Osmyhovychi was detained by TRC officers after returning from the hospital with his pregnant wife. He was taken to the recruitment center. While at the TRC, the priest suffered a heart attack, but he was refused hospitalization.
