On June 22, 2026, a service with the rite of monastic tonsure took place in the Khust Eparchy of the UOC. With the blessing of Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv, his vicar, Bishop Mark of Rakhiv, tonsured novice Maria as a rassophore nun. The event took place at the diocesan metochion in Synevyrska Poliana, the UOC Information and Education Center reports.

In monasticism, the sister was given the name Theodosia – in honor of Venerable Theodosius of the Caves, one of the founders of Russian monasticism. The diocese wished the newly tonsured sister spiritual zeal, humility, and strength to worthily carry the path of service to God and the Church that she has chosen.

As the UOJ reported, Metropolitan Ephraim elevated a nun of the Protection Monastery to the rank of abbess.
