In Pakistan, Muslim stabs Christian to death following argument over water

Worker Ahmad Waryam attacked 40-year-old Siddique Masih while loading bricks at a factory in the village of Gohar Chak, reports the Christian Post.
The Muslim man forbade his colleague from drinking water from the shared cooler, calling him "unclean" because of his Christian faith. In response, Masih compared the fanatic's actions to those of the persecutors of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson, after which Waryam grabbed him from behind and slit his throat with a knife. The Christian died on the spot.
The murdered Siddique Masih is survived by his wife and four minor children. The family has lost its sole breadwinner and is in an extremely dire financial situation: one of the sons suffers from thalassemia and requires regular blood transfusions.
The victim's brother Rafiq Masih, who witnessed the tragedy, said that Siddique was a devoted Christian and a hardworking man whose only concern was the treatment of his sick son.
Police detained the attacker and three other suspects. Human rights advocates stressed that this murder reflects the systemic nature of violence against religious minorities in rural Pakistan.
As the UOJ reported, leaflets calling for the killing of Christians appeared on the doors of churches in Syria.
