Kyiv's Saint Sophia will begin promoting the army
On June 30, 2026, in Kyiv, representatives of the National Reserve "Saint Sophia of Kyiv" and the media center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine signed an agreement on long-term cooperation. The document was signed by the museum's director general Nelia Kukovalska and the head of the information and communication support center Taras Tkachenko.
The parties agreed to hold joint cultural and educational events in order to promote the Armed Forces of Ukraine through historical monuments and art. In addition, the partnership envisages assistance in preserving sites of global significance that are part of the reserve.
The occasion for the formal establishment of the relationship was the success of the interactive project "Call Signs/Позывные," which took place in May 2026 on the grounds of the Metropolitan's House museum. The meeting participants believe that the new agreement will allow for the systematic development of military culture and will increase citizens' interest in the activities of Ukraine's defenders.
As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, sensors to record missile strikes were installed at Saint Sophia of Kyiv.
