UOC church damaged in Kyiv shelling

A UOC church dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was damaged in a Russian attack on Kyiv overnight on July 2, the UOC Information Center reports.

The church, which belongs to the First Darnytsia Deanery, had its windows blown out, while fragments damaged icons, the altar, and the walls. The blast wave also damaged doors, window frames, and the church shop building, and cracks appeared in the walls of the church itself.

The area around the church was also damaged. The parish rector, Archpriest Vasyl Klym, appealed to all concerned people for help in restoring the holy site.

As the UOJ reported, a UOC church in Yunakivka, Sumy region, was destroyed as a result of shelling.
