Kamianets-Podilskyi Icon-Painting School Invites Students

The Icon-Painting Theological School named after the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke in Kamianets-Podilskyi has announced the continuation of its Admissions Committee's work as part of the 2026 enrollment campaign. This was reported by the school's official website ikonnyk.com.

Entrance examinations are scheduled for August 11–12, 2026. Orthodox Christians who have a basic or complete general secondary education, a reference from a priest, and a readiness to participate in the spiritual life of the institution are eligible to apply. The institution trains icon painters, combining theological education, artistic training, and spiritual formation. The program is aimed at those who wish to develop their creative abilities within the church tradition and to serve the Church through the creation of sacred images. As the SPJ reported, the Kamianets-Podilskyi Icon-Painting Theological School conducts annual student enrollment and is one of the few specialized educational institutions in Ukraine where icon painting is taught in unity with theological and spiritual formation. Prospective students are advised not to delay contacting the Admissions Committee: timely contact allows for a better understanding of the requirements and more thorough preparation for the examinations.
