TRC officers abduct priest of UOC's Zymne Monastery

Archpriest Oleksandr Honcharuk, a cleric of the Dormition Zymne Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, has been detained by officers of Ukraine’s Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support (TRC), according to Pershyi Kozatskyi Telegram channel, citing information from its subscribers.

According to the report, the priest is currently being transported to the city of Lutsk.

The circumstances of the detention, as well as the reasons for the cleric’s alleged abduction, remain unclear at this time.

No official statements regarding the incident had been released as of publication.

As the UOJ previously reported, TRC officers in Kyiv earlier abducted a monk of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
